Athletic Physicals

Interscholastic Sports: Athletics with competition outside of Troy Schools. The Philosophy is that of educational athletics. These students are required to have a Troy School District ATHLETIC PHYSICAL CARD on file. The exam must occur after April 15, 2011. Physical Card forms can be picked up in the office. Health Appraisals will not be accepted.

Intramural Sports: Athletics emphasizing skills and personal growth of the athlete without competition. These students are required to have a signed permission slip from an adult caregiver. No Athletic Physical card is required.

Pay to Participate

The Troy School District uses a Pay to Participate program for secondary athletics and clubs. The program is part of the District’s continued efforts to make adjustments that address the Michigan’s school aid deficits.

A $175.00 fee will be assessed per high school athlete for the 1st and 2nd sport forthe 2011-2012 school year.* This payment is made through the “athletics link” on Payschools only. If unable to make a payment through Payschools, please contact the TSD athletic office at 248-823-5093 to make arrangements to drop off a payment.

A $75.00 fee will be assessed per middle school athlete for the 1st and 2nd sport for 2011-2012 school year.* This payment is made through the “athletics link” on Payschools only. If unable to make a payment through Payschools, please contact the TSD athletic office at 248-823-5093 to make arrangements to drop off a payment.

A $50.00 fee will be assessed per high/middle school student participating in clubs or intramurals for the 2011-2012 school year.* This payment is made through the “individual school link” on Payschools only. If unable to make a payment through Payschools, please contact the your home school office to make arrangements to drop off a payment.

*A maximum fee of $600.00 per household, per year applies to those who have multiple students participating in your home.
