Waiving a Course Requirement by Testing Out: Secondary students who have extensive knowledge of the material in a required course may demonstrate their proficiency by taking a written assessment. Students will be tested on their knowledge of the course requirements specific to Troy School District courses and expectations. Students must submit the “Waiving a Course through Testing Out Authorization and Notification Form” no later than March 27, 2017 to be eligible for the spring testing dates. Forms are available in the main office of each middle and high school and on the Troy School District website. The math tests are scheduled for Saturday, April 22 from 8:00am-12:00pm at Troy High School. Students will be notified to arrange a testing date after the waiver form has been submitted for all courses other than mathematics. Course expectations for math courses eligible for test-out are available on the TSD website.

The exception to the "Testing Out" process- Math 6 Students
Students currently enrolled in Math 6 that would like to place into Math 7/8 Honors in the next school year will take the Bridge Test, NOT the "Testing Out" offered held by the district. The Bridge Test will be given at Baker (after school hours) in May. Students will be required to meet certain requirements to qualify to take the Bridge Test. These qualifications as well as more information on the Bridge Test will be given to Math 6 students and parents after 3rd quarter ends ( the week after Spring Break in April).
