Welcome Bobcats,

Thank you for visiting the Baker Middle School Website.  This is a useful resource that will connect you with valuable information about our school and instructional program.  My name is Jonathan Cross and I am honored to serve as the proud principal of Baker Middle School.  We have an exemplary instructional program that provides rigorous and engaging learning opportunities.  Our teachers are committed to student achievement and are responsive to the learning needs of all.  We are fortunate to be a part of the Troy School District and benefit from their commitment to providing the best resources available for our students.

The Troy School District has a long standing tradition of high academic standards and learning experiences that result in College and Career readiness.  We also focus on a character education program that enables students to flourish in school, the workplace, and as citizens.  Baker Middle School is recognized as a Promising practice school by Character.org and we are working towards recognition as a state school of character.  Our Character touchstone is “Baker Family” and our Character traits are (A.O.K) “Accountable, Open-Minded, and Kind”.  We work each day to embed these traits into everything we do as a school community.
